Hemma to open white goods stores in mountain region
Ice and cold outside. Soon it will be even easier for the people who live in Sälen and Idre to have refrigerators and freezers indoors. The white goods chain Hemmabutikerna is now expanding with two new stores in Sweden’s mountain region. The stores will be ready for business in time for the winter season.
“All the holiday homes and hotels close to both Idre and Sälen offer major potential,” says store manager Urban Gillerås.
Hemmabutikerna is growing. A large new store opened in Infra City in Stockholm last week. The store in Idre will open in October. A new store will be opened in Kungens Kurva in November. And just after New Year the store in Sälen will be ready. The high season for the ski resorts is during the winter while Hemmabutikerna expects its high season during the summer. That is when everyone is renovating, building extensions and refurbishing their holiday homes.
“Previously the people who live in Idre and Sälen were forced to travel long distances in order to be able to choose from a wide range of high-quality white goods. Now this will be far closer and simpler,” says Elisbeth Slunge, marketing director at Hemmabutikerna.
The stores will operate with a 24-hour guarantee. This means that a customer can buy a cooker, refrigerator, freezer or any other white goods one day and get it installed and ready to use in their kitchen the next day. The customer’s old machine will also be taken away.
“In the likely event we cannot deliver in time, we will naturally offer this service free of charge,” says Elisabeth Slunge, marketing director at Hemmabutikerna.
