HÄLSA forms the future!
Forma is making an additional acquisition and strengthening its position within health. Forma is buying the company Hälsa & Helhet and Energica Förlag from Per Frisk and Monica Katarina Frisk as well as Medströms Invest AB. These acquisitions give Forma access to the HÄLSA magazine, the Vitalis book club and to book publications within Energica Förlag publishing house.
“This is a good deal that will improve our offering in health and personal development. The acquired units complement our own publication of magazines and books,” says Patrik Widlund, President of Forma Publishing Group.
The magazine HÄLSA (Health) has been in existence for over 60 years and holds a stable and strong position among health magazines. The motto “body and soul in balance” summarizes what HÄLSA is seeking to give its readers. The magazine is published monthly and has 252,000 readers for each edition..
“HÄLSA is a perfect addition that both complements and strengthens our existing consumer magazines (Icakuriren, Hus & Hem and Leva). Health and personal development are also very much topical subjects,” says Maria Croon, head of Forma Magazine.
Book publishing at Energica Förlag focuses on health, relationships and personal development. Total new publications each year amount to approximately 10-14 titles. The Vitalis book club has some 6,000 members. Members receive 10 members magazines per year offering both book and CD of the month.
“Energica Bokförlag and the Vitalis book club have been high on our wish list for some time,” says Göran Sunehag, head of Forma Books.
The acquired units have annual sales of approximately SEK 35 M and some 50 employees.
